Cornerstone Pie

Cornerstone Pie is the only pizza restaurant in Ellensburg to offer vegan cheese and they recently upped their game by adding faux meat with the introduction of the Vegan Pie to the menu! The staff is very knowledgeable and can help you alter the other pies on the menu to fit your dietary needs and there are other options like the Sweet Potato Fries for when you just want to grab a beer and watch the band performing outside.

Dirks’ Pizza

The owners at Dirks’ Pizza are happy to accommodate vegetarians and vegans. They often have vegan cheese on hand if you ask and the Garden Delight pizza is loaded with veggies and can be made vegan on either the regular or gluten free crust with two sauce options!

The Early Bird

The Early Bird is the ideal place to grab vegan brunch in Ellensburg. They offer everything from espresso to alcohol and are family friendly, making us wish they were open just a smidge past 2pm. The only item on the menu that is vegan by default is the Vegan Bowl but many things can be made vegan with a few adjustments. The easiest things to veganize are Beet Hummus Toast, Avocado Toast, and the Buddha Bowl, but they can substitute tofu scramble for eggs on any menu item!

Ellensburg Pasta Company

Several of the items at Ellensburg Pasta Company can be made vegan - just ask when you are ordering!

Hayday Bakery

Hayday Bakery has a rotating selection, which usually includes vegan soup, sandwiches, pot pie, and cupcakes. The fruit pies are vegan by default and they are helpful when you ask about other offerings. Items made specifically vegan are generally labeled.

Julep Kitchen & Bar

The upscale cocktail bar atmosphere at Julep Ellensburg (21+) features an awesome southern take on vegan cuisine. Ask for the vegetarian/vegan menu, then specify vegetarian or vegan when ordering and don’t forget to pair it with one of their uniquely delicious drinks! Be sure to check out the art on the walls - one of the owners is the photographer responsible for the photo work you’ll see inside.

Kiku-Chan Japanese Restaurant

Expert tip! Kiku-Chan Japanese Restaurant offers a secret menu for vegans and vegetarians if you ask for it, and you won’t be disappointed by the offerings!

Lunchbox Cafe

Monster Melts & Cravens Coffee (CLOSED)

Monster Melts is the place to go for late night weekend grub. Conveniently located downtown near the nightclubs that stay open late, they are the only place in town to offer jackfruit for their “Very Vegan” sandwich!

The Mule Cocktail Bar

The Mule Cocktail Bar (21+) features a Beyond Meat burger.

Oyama Japanese Steakhouse

Some of the items at Oyama Japanese Steakhouse can be made vegan - just ask when you are ordering!

Pho Central (CLOSED)

Pho Central has veggie pho with tofu in vegan broth. Make sure to avoid the dark sauce at the table (it is not vegetarian friendly) but you can load up on soy sauce, chili paste, and sriracha!

Pita Pit (REOPENED RECENTLY)

Pita Pit is an excellent choice for a quick pit stop downtown. Everything is able to be customized and clearly labeled. Use this guide to see which ingredients are vegetarian and vegan.

 [ the pub ] by Iron Horse Brewery (CLOSED)

[ the pub ] by Iron Horse Brewery is a sweet spot for anyone following a plant-based diet. All of their brews use non-animal derived fining agents and they always have "Something Vegan" on the menu in addition to the Oaxaca Quinoa wrap.

The Red Bird Cafe

The Red Bird Cafe is revolutionizing vegan options in Roslyn with a menu including baked goods and cashew cheese!

Seng Tong Thai Cuisine

Several items on the menu at Seng Tong Thai Cuisine can be made vegan - just ask when you are ordering!

The Soup Bowl Cafe & More (CLOSED)

The Soup Bowl Cafe & More has a daily vegan soup that can be paired with your choice of bread.

Sugar Thai Food (REOPENING SOON)

Many of items on the Sugar Thai menu can be made vegan and the servers are very knowledgeable and helpful when you order - just ask!

Taco Del Mar

Utopia Frozen Yogurt and Coffee House

Utopia Frozen Yogurt and Coffee House always has a rotating non-dairy option for fro-yo with plenty of toppings appropriate for vegans!

Vinman’s Bakery

Vimnan’s Bakery has many vegan bread options! Their everyday bread list includes four different vegan breads. The rest of the breads rotate based on which day of the week you go. Please note that if you ask while you are at the bakery, they consider breads containing honey to be vegan so you may be offered choices not on the list below. If you are lucky, you may catch a day when they have Vegan Tiger Bars!
